Description
Glazed terracotta garden pot.
Our workshop perpetuates a Toulouse (South West of France) tradition of terracotta statuary. It was represented in the 19th century by the architects and sculptors Virebent on the lands of Launaguet. Everything is done by hand: stamping in a piece mold, demoulding and retouching. Statues, ornate vases, lions, fountains, fireplaces, 18th and 19th century architectural pieces are made with respect for tradition. The pink, red or white earths are rigorously selected and firing at high temperature (1150 °) offers guarantees of longevity and frost resistance.
