  • Description
Edward F. Caldwell and Co., An Extremely Fine and Rare American Ormolu-Mounted Malachite Clock with The Prince of Wales’s feathers, circa early 20th century
The shape, design, and quality of this clock definitely shows that this was privately commissioned for the Prince of Wales, and most probably given as a gift.
Extremely high quality ormolu mounts throughout, this clock is one of the best examples of clocks made by Edward F. Caldwell and Co.
The dial inscribed Edw. F. Caldwell, New York surrounded by extremely fine ormolu. The clock works are by Chelsea Clock Co. Boston, USA.
Very good condition, no damages noted. We cannot guarantee the time-keeping of the clock but based on our experience the clock can be fixed by a local clock maker.
