Description
Arts and Crafts Jacobean Armchair (1870-1880) possibly designed by Edward William Godwin and produced for William Watt. The chairs features a backrest with ribs in a wave pattern with a lily stalk in the center. The hardwood frame has crossed leg posts meeting to a cross form wood block. The seat cushion is newly upholster with green suede and trimmed in soft shiny leather band. The chair has been lightly cleaned and waxed, shows various mark and indentation in the wood from use and the chair is solid and stable.
