Description
Your collector's eye may twinkle at the sight of this French window bench. Look no further for your own piece in the style of Claude-Louis Burgat (as seen at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York), herald of the golden age of French furniture.
This gilded, French-carved beechwood window bench with cabriolet combines the curvilinear design of the Rococo style with motifs used during the Neoclassical period. The window bench has been restored with love and attention to traditional detail. We will be very pleased to send you pictures of the original piece, pre-restoration. This bench will be a stunning accent to any classic, glamorous, or modern interior and is in good structural condition.
The bench has an overall height of 28” (71.12cm), length of 29.75” (75.56cm), and depth of 16” (38.1cm).
The seat height is 18” (47.62cm).

Most of our pieces are mid-century, vintage, and Antiques. Irregularity is a good thing, as perfection does not exist. Perfect symmetry in furniture is a sign of being made by a machine. What sets us apart is that we upholster, wire, or refinish them, making them one of a kind; you will not see them in every store or gallery, only at AUBÉRY. -
