French ormolu coffee table with Italian marble specimen top
French and Italian, 20th Century
Height 57cm, width 109cm, depth 59cm
Crafted in the timeless Neoclassical style, this coffee table features the best of Italian and French design. The frame of the table is French, wrought from patinated and gilt bronze in the French Neoclassical style, while the tabletop is Italian in origin, and is inset with a wide variety of marble specimens arranged geometrically. The beautiful polychromy of the top contrasts superbly with the refined two-tone frame below, the combination granting the table a particular charm. -
