1930s German Bauhaus Model S411 Chrome Armchair, Thonet

Description
The Model 411 armchair was a staple of the Bauhaus movement of the 1930s that emphasized form and function. Made by Thonet using classic chromed steel tube in one piece that is bent to form the entire cantilevered frame from side to side. Stained beechwood arms have great patina. Recently upholstered in a contrasting white/gray nailhead design with silver threading. Germany. Minor pitting to chrome.
