Description
A Wolfgang Laubersheimer ‘Seerose’ steel cupboard with two small wooden drawers and a sculpted sandstone top. The name 'Seerose' (water-lilies) refers to the plants and even water that could be placed in the carved out top. This rare piece was produced in 1987 by the Pentagon company, co-founded by Laubersheimer.
Laubersheimer (1955) studied metal sculpture in Cologne. In 1982 he co-founded a production company for furniture called ‘Unikate’ and in 1985 the Design Group ‘Pentagon.’ Since 1992 he is a professor for production technology at the Köln International School of Design.
We have a second cupboard of this model available. -
