-
Description
French Mid-Century Modern neoclassical gilt wrought iron round cocktail table or side / end table by Rene Drouet with a top of Verre Eglomisse (reverse painted glass). The poetic tripod form base is in gilt hand hammered iron and features 3 delicate volute forms rising to accommodate an inset glass top. The "verre eglomisse" top is also in gold leaf and the hand painted decoration features intertwining acanthus leaves. The base and top mirror each other in their consistent rhythmic nature and transform this piece into a work of art.
A second similar piece is also available with a stone top.
