A mid-century Swedish rolakan area rug by Gavleborgs Lans Hemslojd. It has the artist's initials GLH in woven at a corner. It is in excellent original condition, consistent with age. It features a well-balanced composition deeply rooted in Scandinavian aesthetics. The heathered gray field is covered in a geometric pattern of stylized tree motifs. The earthy color palette consists of amber, honey, brown, charcoal, purple and grays. The Scandinavian style enchants with its unpretentious elegance.
