An early 20th century antique Tabriz Persian rug, Origin: Persia, Circa: 1920. The city of Tabriz, where this rug comes from, is the heart of classical antique carpet weaving. All Tabriz Persian rugs are created with strict standards, using materials of highest quality. Everything in the above carpet allures us - from its tight densely-knotted structure to its elaborate floral composition with multifaceted flower heads and delicate arabesques. The colors are soft and subtle, kept mainly in shades of sand, taupe and beige. A little more intensive accents of blue cannot go unnoticed. The antique carpet is crowned with the elaborated blue flower in the center - central medallion. Surely, this rug's excellent quality of workmanship and characteristic decorative motifs would provide a great base for creating a tasteful interior.
