This stunning runner, woven circa 1880 by an undoubtedly talented weaver, displays a stunning pattern inspired by traditional Chinese floral motifs. It features a composition of thick elaborate vines, large leafs and delicate flowers in full bloom. However, the pattern was achieved not by mere weaving, but experimenting with the height of the pile. When it comes to the color palette we are given a delightful combination of silver and gray with elements of tasteful blue to bring out the pattern’s charm.
