American Arts & Crafts 18kt Gold & Diamond Necklace by Edward Oakes.
The center triangular element with bezel set old mine-cut Diamonds and eleborate foliate motifs, suspended from floral links with conforming old mine cue-cut diamond, and ending with a delicate chain and box clasp.

In 1923, Edward Oakes was awarded a Medal at the Society of Arts and Crafts of Boston. Oakes was proud when The Metropolitan Museum of Art acquired a pendant of his for its permanent collection Edith Alpers stated that this was "the first such purchase made from a living American craftsman" in an article British Jewelry Studies, Vol. 3 Today, Jewelry by The Oakes Studio is in many Museum Collections. -
