French 19th Century Set of 5 Gothic Style Chairs
-
Description
This set of remarkable Gothic style chairs are made of solid oak that has acquired a warm patina over the last two centuries. Made in France circa 1800. One chair is slightly taller than the others, suggesting it was designated for the head of the table. All of the chairs feature a deeply carved, matching motif with illusions to religious design. Encircled flowers resemble rosette windows and surround the form of a columned entryway. Chamfered corners, featured on all edges, add an additional touch of thoughtful craftsmanship. Seat height is 17”. Make sure to view the detailed images to get a closer look at the exceptional.
