Galleria Mobili d'Arte Cantù
Italian
Galleria Mobili d'Arte Cantù was established in 1955 in Cantù, Italy, as a premier exhibition space dedicated to showcasing the craftsmanship of local artisans. Commissioned by S. Apollonia Srl, the gallery aimed to present the finest handcrafted furniture from the renowned Canturine workshops. The building, designed by architect Giulio Moscatelli, features a traditional reinforced concrete and masonry structure with a distinctive pseudo-isodomic stone cladding. Its horizontal ribbon windows and rounded corner interrupted by a large glass staircase define its architectural character. During the 1960s and 1970s, Galleria Mobili d'Arte Cantù was celebrated as a center of excellence in the marketing of Cantù-produced furniture.
