Peruvian Modernistic Sterling Silver Coffee Service Set
-
Description
A sterling silver coffee service set consists of six pieces: a coffee pot, a chocolate pot, a covered sugar bowl with a serving spoon, a creamer and a round tray. Made in Peru circa mid to second half of 20th century, maybe 1970-80s, this modernist set features a wonderful shimmering hand-hammered surface with carved-wood handles that mimic natural tree trunks. The finials on the lids of the three hallow wares and the spoon handle were cast in the form of a pelican bird, a very charming motif.
The largest coffee pot measures 9.5" H × 10" W × 6.5" D and the tray measures 1" height × 14" diameter. The list measurement is for packing only.
There is two impressed marks: one under the chocolate pot and one on the stalk of the spoon '925 Peru'. as shown. All pieces have been tested as sterling silver and the total weight is about 89.2 ozt. -
