Description
Bitossi Kwan Yin Buddha, ceramic, white, black. Medium scale Kwan Yin Buddha finish in a textured white "Cinese" glaze which mimics the patina of ancient Chinese bronze vessels. The bust is mounted on a 4 inch x 5.25 matte black wood base. According to one legend, Kwan Yin was an Indian Princess who rejected marriage and the good life in order to become a truly enlightened human being. She is known as the Goddess of mercy and compassion. It is believed that to have a picture or statue of Kwan Yin in one's home brings good luck and protection to the household.
