Mid-Century Modernist Glass Console Table with Brass Joints & Lucite Supports
-
Description
Realized in the style of Charles Hollis Jones, this striking Mid Century Modern console table was executed in the United States circa 1970. It offers cylindrical brass capped lucite legs that adjoin to the corners of the brass wrapped top imbuing them with a dynamic angular posture. The corners as well as the tops of the legs are also wrapped in lustrous brass, supporting the rectangular panel of translucent glass top of the table. The brass cap feet are adjoined with volumetric cylindrical supports (also in brass) testifying to the fact that no detail was overlooked in its construction. With its refined and ethereal color palate and clean modernist lines, this piece would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid Century Modern to contemporary. It is in excellent vintage condition.
