    On offer for your consideration we have a majestic large porcelain mallard duck designed for Rosenthal in 1912 by Willy Zugel (1876-1950).

    From 1904 onwards his work was show in numerous exhibitions in Berlin, Dresden, Munich where he was born, Cologne, Vienna, Budapest and else ware. He worked in bronze for many years, he sold his first sculpture in 1905 to the large Berlin Art Exhibition. His achievements throughhis lifetime were many. He designed for Meissen, Nymphenburg and Rosenthal were modeled many wonderful animals sculptures.

    This piece was made in 1939-1940, model #K249 and signed Willy Zugel in empresed stamp.

    The quality on modeling and painting is stunning.
