1940s Mid-Century Serifed Arch Form Mirror with Smoked Antiqued Mirror Borders
-
Description
This stunning and dramatic early Mid Century Modern mirror was realized in the United States circa 1940. It features an arch form silhouette with a rectangular base consisting of a rectangular of mirrored right angle segments. The curved arch form top has subtly antiqued smoked mirror demilune serifed embellishments with reverse beveled detailing on their interior edges. This beveling also recurs in the side and bottom mirrored panels. With its idiosyncratic (and aesthetically compelling aesthetic) lines, graphic silhouette, and monochromatic palate, this piece is as versatile as it is gorgeous, blending perfectly with any style of interior from traditional to contemporary. It is in excellent vintage condition.
