Description
1940s Vintage Club Chair, a benchmark Danish design: made of solid wood and hand-tied springs, this chair is choc-full of straw and horsehair. Couture fabric designed by Maki Yamamoto Textile Studio: hand-stitched appliqué of yellow, sage & coffee-colored racetrack shapes on high-quality linen from Clarence House. The appliqué pills then off the back, hanging in a beautifully imperfect way. They just don't make them like this anymore, but I do! One of my new-wave designs, it's quite extraordinary.
Textile Artist: Maki Yamamoto Textile Studio, 2022.
Rooted in the world of ancient Japanese art, Maki creates uniquely timeless textiles that are utterly current.
Solid beech feet in original condition. (Same chair as Creme Boucle, in a totally different textile - custom orders available upon request). -
