-
Description
A Rare and Important Set of 2 French Late Mid-Century Modern armchairs / Lounge Chairs and 1 Ottoman / Bench / Stool in a legendary Futurist form. All the pieces are covered in a dynamic Yellow Faux Leather and attributed to Pierre Paulin, the most important French designer of the early 1970 period. The works appear as one continuous moving form and convey an organic sense of speed and movement through space. The line is pure and free flowing. These design features unite it with other rare Futurist designs. The yellow leather adds to the vibrancy, energy and life of the pieces. In these bold forms one can see the influence of Paulin's other works: the ribbon chair, the tongue chair, the groovy chair and "le chat" chair. In addition, the pieces provide excellent comfort with back and neck support, an important feature lacking in much of Midcentury seating Dimensions: Chairs H 34 x W 34 x D 24; Ottoman H 17 x W 34 x D 18. It is possible to purchase the pair of chairs or the ottoman separately. Consult the gallery for pricing. Additional References: Olivier Morgue, Yves Klein,.
