Børge Mogensen Teak Coffee Table. Børge Mogensen (1914-1972) was a prominent Danish furniture designer who made significant contributions to the development of Mid-century Modern design. Mogensen trained as a cabinetmaker before studying at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. He went on to work for the furniture company FDB (The Danish Consumers' Cooperative Society), where he designed a range of furniture pieces that were simple, functional, and affordable. His designs were intended to be accessible to a wide range of people, and he often worked with natural materials such as wood and leather.
