French 18th Century Presentation Buffet à Deux Corps

A unique Louis XV period, circa 1750, carved oak presentation buffet in wonderful antique condition. The front doors showcase carved embellishments and decorative escutcheons. The left hand side doors interior latch is quite impressive and the top lock is functional. Four removable shelves are housed within the top. The apron houses a large paneled drawer that contains a permanent partition down the center. The lower doors’ lock no longer functions, but is held closed with a magnetic clasp and forged iron latch that mirrors the one within the top. The whole sits flush to the ground on a plinth base.
