Early 18th century, Highly Figured Oyster Veneer '3' Drawer Chest

Highly Figured Walnut Laburnum Oyster Veneer Three Drawer Chest on four bracket feet, with later brass pulls and escutcheons; cross banding to the drawers and top; great surface and color, with pleasing mellow patina (see images); some elements restored. Circular scrolled string lace design boxwood inlay to the top surface; curved chamfered perimeter border to top three sides. The smallest drawer is at the top, graduating to the largest at the bottom. Satinwood inlay extends to the perimeter of the drawer fronts which are cross banded; oyster veneer to both side panels with a center panel surrounded by 3 1/2" perimeter border.
The condition is very good; minimal raising of the inlay; the surface is striking and original while the bracket feet are replaced with "period" walnut and the rear panel is contemporary. The drawers function properly, going in and out with no problem; each one with late 17th century provincial style dovetailed side panels (three large joins on each side). The entire piece is very solid, stable, and sturdy, while maintaining graceful and elegant "period" color and integrity, suitable for any modern or 18th century decorating environment.
Difficult to find these smaller sized chest of drawers.
