These table lamps were designed by Royal Copenhagen's head designer for the BACA series, Nils Thorsson in the 1960s. The lamps were produced by Danish company Fog & Morup. The base is made of stoneware and features Thorssons famous pattern showing abstract patterns of birds and flowers in black. The color of the base is blue.
The lamps are in very good condition with marks dating their production. The lamp's base measures 36 cm in height and 10 cm width and depth. Both bear full printed factory marks on the base, including Royal Copenhagen / Denmark / Fajance over Nils Thorsson's artist cipher.
Nils Johan Thorvald Thorsson (1898–1975) was a Swedish-Danish ceramic artist, a prolific designer, and the Artistic Director of Royal Copenhagen. Thorsson's work exemplifies midcentury Danish modernism; he designed the Baca production range in the 1960s. -
