Description
Pair of Mid-Century Danish Fauteuils in Vivid Yellow Wool Upholstery, 1960s
A radiant expression of mid-century Scandinavian design, this striking pair of Danish lounge chairs—crafted circa 1960—offers a seamless blend of sculptural form and vibrant modernism. While the designer remains unidentified, the chairs’ sleek lines, tailored construction, and superb craftsmanship place them squarely within the golden era of Danish furniture-making.
Each fauteuil is impeccably upholstered in a brilliant yellow wool fabric that is both richly textured and remarkably luminous, injecting a bold yet sophisticated energy into any interior. The upholstery is in pristine condition, with no visible wear—a testament to both the quality of the fabric and the care with which these pieces have been preserved. The firm yet plush seat cushions and gracefully contoured armrests ensure a comfortable and elegant seating experience, ideal for stylish lounging.
These chairs were acquired from a respected dealer at a premium, affirming their rarity and desirability among collectors of fine 20th-century design. Their enduring appeal lies in their ability to be both statement pieces and timeless classics, harmonizing beautifully in modern, eclectic, or curated vintage interiors.
