Meiji period (1868 - 1912) painting of a family of deer exploring the grassy and rocky shoreline of a meandering creek under the moonlight. Shijo School ink painting with minimal pigments on mulberry paper with a silk brocade border. Signature and seal read: Hogen Toyo.
