Description
Available right now we have this absolutely stunning Mid-Century Modern desk designed by George Nelson for Herman Miller. The Executive Office Group, NO 8000 Series designed in 1949 by George Nelson were the perfect marriage of form, function, and beauty.
The desk is in a gorgeous walnut, with the original drawers with the "cutout" pulls. There is ample storage in the return, which features a cabinet, as well as 3 sliding doors, two on the left side, which reveal a grouping of birch smaller drawers, and a cubby; the sliding door on the opposite side of the return can be slid to expose a cubby and shelf for additional storage.
Finished on all sides, this exquisite midcentury desk would look excellent floated in an office, or home office setting, with pieces of design like an Eames ESU 400-n or an Eames 420 unit. This piece would also look incredible with a George Nelson CSS Wall unit. The EOG designs by George Nelson were instant classics and to this day still remain timeless and effortlessly chic.
A wonderful piece for any modern, Mid-Century Modern, or contemporary home or office. A wonderful piece for any collector with the cache of being on of the early original designs. -
