English 19th Century Regency Mahogany Secretary

Description
A fine English mahogany secretary, done in the Regency style circa 1830. This outstanding desk has an upper body for storage and display. There are three adjustable finished shelves situated behind the styled doors with original glass. The doors contain their original glass and a working lock and key. The lower body is made up of a bank of four graduated drawers. The topmost drawer is actually the desk unit. Its front will fold down to reveal the green leather clad work surface and another series of smaller drawers and pigeon holes, ideal for storing papers and correspondence. The work surface has a height of 32-⅛”. The drawers are outfitted with styled cast brass hardware and these have no keys present. The desk has a shaped skirt that complements the splayed feet. When opened, the desk has dimensions: 94 ½”H x 40”W x 37 ½”D.
