Large Library / Roomdivider in Teak and Metal, Italy, 1960's

$ 8,700
  • Description
    Large library in teak and metal.

    These shelves can very well be used as a room divider too because the back side is the same as the front side with the same details such as the inward falling back plates and the small black carved stripes.

    The shelves consist of 3 parts with at the bottom of each a small two-door cabinet or shelves in the middle part. The handles are made of elongated metal and that same metal can be found back at the sides of the 4 uprights. The use of metal is remarkable given its age but combines very well with the light brown wood. The shapes of the 11 shelves is angular and give these shelves a very playful appearance. They can be adjusted as you can see on the pictures. Both up as down you can see round plates that have screw thread with which you can attach them to your ceiling. Of course we can make these a bit longer if needed. The work very much resembles the work of Ico Parisi, especially if you look at the amount of details. Italian elegance at its best!
