Gianfranco Frattini, Rosewood desk for Bernini, Italy, 1956
-
Description
The collaboration between Gianfranco Frattini (1926-2004) and the editor Bernini beganIn the second half of the 1950s, with the design of a series of pieces of furniture, including the desk mod. 530, which started a series of tables of different sizes, characterized by a base in the shape of a double hourglass.
The top had an extremely clean and simple line, with drawers and open spaces.
The desk we present is of an unusual size: the standard model measured 170 cm in length, while in our case it reaches 210 cm. It is therefore a piece of considerable size, made of beautiful rosewood, with rich veins.
The surface is in very good condition and has no notable defects. -
