19th Century Biedermeier Nutwood Chest Of Drawers With Micro-Inlays, AT ca. 1850

Description
Absolutely beautiful, mid 19th century Biedermeier nutwood chest of drawers coming out of Austria. Made in the so-called "second" Biedermeier period around 1850, this charming piece of bourgeois furniture provides three drawers, all adorned by extraordinary micro-inlayed frames, which can also be found on the sides. This fantastic mid-sized chest of drawers from a middle-class household comes in great original condition, showing some old restoration marks and an outstanding looking naturally built patina. We loved this one of a kind look so much, that we decided to just clean the surface a bit and preserve this incredible charm of long past era. A small inlayed flower surrounded by different fields of beech, oak and nutwood on the top plate as well as the lovely shaped brass fittings on the drawers finalize the unique look of this Biedermeier three-drawer commode. A simple but truly wonderful 19th century storage piece for a real competitive price.
