Description
Unique pair of rare Art Nouveau bentwood armchairs designed by none other than famous Austrian architect Otto Wagner (1841 - 1918) for the renowed company of Jacob & Josef Kohn. Made out of fine bentwood (=beechwood bent under steam and high pressure) and showing a beautiful brown nutwood trimmed finishing, the exceptional form language is still timeless until today and proofs that Otto Koloman Wagner was a true master with passion for trendsetting designs. These fantastic shaped armchairs come with a beautiful looking grey/ blue upholstery. Lovely brass fittings on the legs end as well as the polished double brass bars between the legs finalize its outstanding appearance. This pair of early 20th century Art Nouveau armchairs is definitely a rare one because the great original condition. These chairs spread a timeless charm even though the design has been created over almost 120 years ago and can thereby mixed with many different interior styles - even comtemporary.
