Add a touch of vintage charm and vibrant color to your space with this rare and iconic sideboard cabinet, a masterpiece conceived by the renowned designer Raymond Loewy (1893-1986) for Doubinsky Frères DF2000 in France in the 1960s. Representing a fusion of style, functionality, and unparalleled design prowess, this piece is a testimony to Loewy's vision and his mastery in product design.
With its dazzling spectrum of two shades of red juxtaposed with two shades of orange, this sideboard doesn't just offer storage; it demands attention. The four ABS plastic molded doors, with their sculptural handles, form a seamless blend of utility and aesthetic brilliance. An off-white laminate gracefully adorns the top and sides, complementing the vibrant doors and adding a serene balance to the overall design.
Step inside this cabinet, and the veneered Macassar wood greets you with its rich texture. Inside, thoughtful details like two pull-out bar bottle holders, four drawers with a burst of orange facing, and adjustable shelves showcase functionality rooted in elegance. With a backside fully finished in Macassar, every angle of this sideboard is a testament to meticulous craftsmanship.
Elevating this design marvel are three off-white painted aluminum legs that confer upon the cabinet an ethereal, floating effect—a testimony to Loewy's penchant for innovative designs that transcend the ordinary.
Proudly bearing the original label inside one of its drawers, this collectible Raymond Loewy DF2000 sideboard retains its authenticity. In remarkably stellar condition, exhibiting only the slightest traces of time's passage, this sideboard is rated an impressive 9 out of 10.
