Description
A lithograph of a carving of Marcus Aurelius, Italy circa 1700. The text reads, "Marcus Aurelius extends his right hand to, and takes under his protection, some Germans or Parthians, who are supplicating him and surrendering themselves. / It is believed that this panel once stood with the two preceding in the Arch of Portugal; now it is in the Palazzo Savelli, above the ruins of the Theatre of Marcellus."
