Parchment Italian Sideboard by Paolo Buffa, 1950
-
Description
Magnificent Italian sideboard designed by Paolo Buffa and probably executed on commission of high level by the Association of Canturini Artisans of furniture, an organization that grouped together the best craftsmen of the time. This piece masterfully combines elegance with great execution quality. The three central parchment doors feature splendid wooden inlays, while the side doors are decorated with geometric designs. The five drawers have a grooving on the front and the refined supports are embellished with brass inlays and brass sabots at the end. The interiors are in maple, with drawers and shelves in glass. The conditions are still very good, considering that they are original.
