19th Century French Barbotine Covered Bowl with Bird and Bird Nest Décor
-
Description
A 19th century petite French faience bowl adorned with a bird and bird nest barbotine décor. This French pottery features a green colored body, decorated with exquisite colorful flowers. A small bird just landed on the lip of the bowl, to check on his nest that preciously shelters three tiny eggs. Perhaps is it feeding time? The inside of the bowl is decorated with a light blue color, bringing out the green, brown, pink and yellow color perfectly. With its lovely proportions and delicate décor, this French barbotine bowl will be a great decorative accent in any home.
