A Swedish Rococo style painted wood vitrine from the 19th century, with bonnet top and glass doors. Born in Sweden during the 19th century, this exquisite vitrine features a bonnet-type cornice sitting above two doors showcasing glass panels and opening to reveal inner shelves topped with a spoon shelf. The vitrine's lower section is made of four drawers fitted with Rococo style hardware, the ensemble being raised on four short cabriole legs. The vitrine is painted in a soft color typical of the Scandinavian taste for light palettes, aiming at brightening the homes during the long winters of Sweden. With its graceful Rococo silhouette and convenient features, this Swedish 19th century painted vitrine will be a great focal point in any living room or dining room.
