Art Deco Austrian large Silver Box, Carl Hiess Vienna C.1920. Probably originally for cigarettes, rectangular solid silver form with striking ribbed design, the interior with three silver dividers. Gilded interior and plain silver plaque on interior of cover. Measures: 9.10 x 5.10 x 1.20 inches. Weight: 26 oz. Hallmarked and stamped Carl Hiess Wien 1. Condition: Good, lovely good heavy silver. Interior is not wood ... solid silver with gilding.
