19th Century French Provincial Oak Vitrine

Description
Beautiful craftsmanship and a fresh natural finish make this antique oak buffet a find to treasure. Hand-made in France in the 1800s, this piece would have once been the pride of a Provincial household. The mullioned windows of the upper cabinet give a view onto shelves within, while the lower cupboards — one of which opens to reveal an array of small drawers — provide a wealth of organizational possibilities. The peaks and swells of the panelling form an elegant border for the cupboard doors, while the rounded curves of the ball feet and upper cornice bring a note of softness to the broad silhouette. The oak has been carefully restored to reveal its organic finish: a pale golden hue, reminiscent of morning sunlight.
