Early 19th Century French Provincial Oak Buffet

Description
The elegant simplicity of this antique oak buffet gives it a timeless appeal. Made in France in the early 1800s, the cabinet is broad, spacious and sturdily constructed – built with the intention of serving the needs of a Provincial household for centuries to come. The graceful peaks of the paneling provide a sinuous counterpoint to the clean lines of the silhouette, while original filigree lock pieces add an ornate touch. The principal decorative element, however, is the beautiful finish of the natural oak: carefully restored to reveal its pale silvery hue, rippled in places with a burled grain.
