Description
An elegant rocking chair manufactured by Colombo Sanguineti during the 1950s in Chiavari, Italy, presents itself as a fine example of mid-century craftsmanship. Known as the "Spade" model, this chair exhibits exquisite carved details on both its armrests and backseat, adding a touch of sophistication to its overall design.
The frame of the chair is skillfully constructed using beech wood, which has been meticulously refinished using the French polish technique, resulting in a lustrous mahogany-coloured paint finish.
The Spade rocking chair features a newly woven straw seat that remains in impeccable condition, reflecting the care and maintenance given to the piece. The combination of the intricate carvings, refined frame, and pristine woven seat work harmoniously to create a visually captivating and functional piece of furniture.
With its graceful curves and tasteful detailing, this rocking chair by Colombo Sanguineti embodies the elegance and craftsmanship characteristic of the Chiavari chairs production and it is a remarkable addition to any interior, offering both comfort and timeless style. - More Information
