TIM ORR FRENCH CERAMIC SCULPTURE
Biomorphic ceramic sculpture by Tim Orr, France c 1970. Mottled earth tones glaze. Piece unique.
Born in England, Tim Orr is a sculptor, painter and ceramist. He moved to Biot, France in 1960 and lived with Jacqueline (1933-1989). They were among the first to work in porcelain on an artistic level, and they did several large works such as a series of four large sculptures for the hospital Lapeyronie Montpellier. They decided to leave the French Riviera for the Herault and settle in Brissac.
