  • Description
    Hohner C-Tenor "Koncert" wooden recorder; this circa 1950, made in Germany instrument is in excellent condition (appears to be unused); is made of pearwood. It is in three pieces connected by cork joins; for baroque (English) fingering; a metal register changer attached; sounds like a flute, in the woodwind family of instruments. Comes in it's original packaging box with genesis stipulated in writing on the box (see images); even has the original moisture cleaning swab.
    Recently acquired from an upscale San Francisco estate.

    Note: The Hohner Company of Baden Germany was founded in 1857 by Mathias Hohner, specializing in harmonicas. They are still in business today, their instruments having been used by professional musicians such as Bob Dylan and Stevie Wonder.

    Dimensions: 26" long by 2 1/4" diameter at the base.
