Monumental custom-made sculptural concave mirror measuring 63 inches in diameter. Thermoformed glass in a rare, deep amber-bronze hue is shaped into a dramatic concave form, then silvered and mirrored to create a striking interplay of reflection, light, and color. Mounted on a concealed brass support, the mirror projects from the wall as a sculptural work of art rather than a conventional mirror. As ambient light and viewing angles change throughout the day, the mirrored surface reveals subtle shifts in tone and depth, making each installation a dynamic focal point. Handcrafted to order by a small artisanal studio outside Milan, Italy, each mirror is individually produced and may exhibit slight variations that reflect its handmade nature. Please note: These art mirrors are made individually by hand. The glass is first thermoformed in a hand cast mold made of steel or iron. This is where the glass is heated at enormously high temperature in the furnaces where it becomes flexible and formed into its concave shape. After the glass is formed, it is meticulously silvered by hand in the specific reflective color and then baked again. As every mirror is made individually by hand, there may be slight variations that are reflected in the silvering. These are not imperfections to the mirror but just the character of the one-of-a-kind handmade piece.
