A 19th century French Louis Philippe overmantle / wall mirror. The original gilding to this impressive mirror is in superb condition with just a little historical surface wear. Revealed beneath is the original reddish bole base coat creating a lovely contrast of mellowed colours. A decorative row of etched flowers and leaves dance around the outer edge of the wide mirror frame, a continuous intact row of gilded beads neatly frame the original glass mirror plate. Original pine backboards. H: 48.5" W: 35.5" D: 1"
