Italian Baroque Early 17th Century Painted Buffet with Carved Diamond Motifs

$ 6,950
  • Description
    An Italian Baroque period painted wood buffet from the early 17th century with two doors, carved diamond motifs, bracket feet and nicely weathered patina. Created in Italy during the early years of the 17th century, this wooden buffet features a rectangular top with beveled edges, sitting above two doors. Carved with vertical diamond motifs, the doors open thanks to turned wooden pulls to reveal a simple interior with inner shelf, offering convenient storage opportunities. The sides are plain and the back is, of course, simply planked and unfinished. The painted buffet is raised on a plinth with bracket feet in the front, complimenting the ensemble beautifully. With its very old world Italian look, carved décor and great rustic character, this Baroque period painted buffet from the early 17th century will bring a touch of elegant authenticity to any home, perhaps placed in a living room or dining room, anchored with a painting or mirror hung on the wall!
