This rare Danish modern cabinet was designed by renowned scandinavian architects Ilse & Ove Rix for Uldum Møbelfabrik in 1961. The solid wood construction is remarkable. The entire cabinet was crafted using mortise & tenon joinery and the drawers with dovetail joints. Each drawer opens smoothly as intended and is adorned with a minimalist solid brass half moon pull. Expertly finished on all sides, this piece can freestand in a room. The proportions of the cabinet are slightly larger scale than most designs from the period which makes it a good fit for the larger modern homes of today.
