-
Description
Gritty working class truck driver with tiger painting on truck door, is rendered in a flat and quick style with rapid brushstrokes defining the trucker. The tiger is painted in a tighter more exact way. Color field painting meets Social Realism The composition is quite simple and reminiscent of the color field painter Mark Rothko and Adolph Gottlieb. Artist name is inscribed on verso on top stretcher. The work is best viewed with a key light directly above the painting. The color and light value of the painting will change depending on the light source. More direct top light brings out the warm colors.
