Description
This minimalistic rug combines the excellence of centuries-long weaving art with a modern aesthetic approach. The piece falls into the category of geometric area rugs which are deprived of any pattern or flashing colors but masterfully executed and brilliant in their simplicity. Its firm, qualitative pile was meticulously hand-tufted of the finest wool according to old and refined weaving techniques by a skilled artisan. Although the absolute austerity of all modern rugs was rarely practiced in the past centuries, the rest of the features, such as the tight knot and first-rate materials, remain in consonance with traditional carpet craftsmanship. The pure and clean field is rendered in cool off-white hue which may slightly change its shade due to varying light reflections on the fibers. Due to its absolute versatility, this up-to-date rug will easily fit into a wide variety of interior arrangements, from classic to modern. If given a chance, this Line Grip contemporary area rug will be the brightest spot of any household. Doris Leslie Blau carries an exceptional collection of original modern rugs in many styles and materials. Contemporary hand-made rugs are a bridge throughout history, they are the fruit of the constant evolution of the weaving craft that has accompanied men since the dawn of civilization.
